Hole 3: Cheadle Golf Club Ladies Section
On 2nd March, 1896, seven ladies met at the club to form the Ladies Section at Cheadle Golf Club. Today, thanks to their vision and spirit, we are here, much greater in voice and numbers.
Over the decades, and through two world wars, the Ladies Section has always stood for fairness, friendship, and kindness, alongside a shared passion and commitment to the sport we all love to play.
The game has changed a lot since 1896 but the Ladies Section continues to push for fairness, giving women the opportunity to play golf to the level they want, whether it is to play socially or competitively – Cheadle is a course that should be open to all.
